Our history
Foundation of Carldora Importação e Exportação, Lda. A pioneer in Portugal in the design and manufacture of metal formwork, scaffolding and shoring.
Understanding the needs of construction sites and their construction processes has evolved through the monitoring of product application directly on site (assembly and disassembly), with particular attention to international markets.
Manufacturing began with scaffolding in 1979, in a garage, and as knowledge was acquired, new products were developed and manufactured. At the same time, and as a great learning ground, GREAT SCHOOL with minimal use of bricks and plasters, the factory facilities were built in exposed reinforced concrete, with a current covered area of more than 10,000m².
Start of the automation with the acquisition of new automatic cutting and stamping machines for steel tubes and plates.
Inspired by the famous toy LEGO and driven by perseverance and a passion for what we do, in 1983 we developed the foundation of a unique multifunctional formwork system, capable of forming any shape required, which was granted Patent No. 76533, by the INPP.
At the same time, manufacturing systems evolved, with the acquisition of the first welding robotin 1989. Today, Carldora is proud to have achieved full autonomy in manufacturing, from raw materials to finished products.
Implementation and development of a technical engineering office where 2D and 3D solutions are designed and developed for all types of civil engineering and public works.

Change of company name and legal personality: Carldora - Formwork, Scaffolding and Bracing, S.A, and increase the share capital to €2,500,000.00.

System implementation Solidworks Patent Registration No. 11943 of the Self-climbing Formwork System for the execution of hollow vertical concrete structures.
Obtained Integrated Management System certification in accordance with the following standards NP ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and EN 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) and Conquering the Asian market.
First export to Oceania.
